Program Background
Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy was founded and formed in 2016, Winnipeg’s Newcomer Sport Academy offers quality sport programs to newcomer families as they settle into their new community. It is a multi-sport program offering opportunities to sample many sports with a special emphasis on soccer. Additionally the organization aims to assist youth and their families to connect with quality sport programs and other opportunities through involvement in sport.
Winnipeg’s Newcomer Sport Academy (WNSA) will strive to offer developmentally appropriate and culturally safe quality sport programs in a safe inclusive environment and will be staffed by qualified coaches and volunteers.
Mission
Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy provides newcomer children and youth with economically accessible quality multi-sport programming that promotes growth and development that contributes to positive integration into their new community.

Our Program is for Children & Youth who are
Ages 4-14 (boys and girls)
Low Income Refugee/ Newcomers
New to Canada (has arrived within the last 5 years
Committed to participate for 6 month either once or twice a week)
